Strategies for Improving Work Environment

According to the Canadian Labour and Business Centre, three strategies are recommended for improving work environments:

  • Initiatives related to the physical work environment (appropriate equipment and training availability);
  • Initiatives related to the physical health of the employee (fitness and weight loss programs); and
  • Initiatives related to mental health/stress/psychosocial concerns (stress management programs, and programs to deal with family and workplace issues)
