Indicators of Acceptable Asthma Control

Daytime symptoms  <4 times/week
Night-time symptoms  <1 time/week
Need for short-acting B2 -agonist  <4 times/ week (apart from one dose/day before exercise)
Physical Activity  Normal for age
Exacerbations  Mild, infrequent
Work/school absence  None
FEV1 or PEF rate  > 90% personal best
PEF diurnal variation  < 10-15% variation
